He was predeceased by: his parents, Marian Couture (Krause) and Stanley Couture; his siblings, Eugene, Kenneth, Rodney, James and Charlene; and his sons, Todd and Donald Sorum.

He is survived by: his wife Julie; his daughters, Nikki Sorum (Simon Foster) and Cindy Eldridge (Mike); and his grandchildren, Marielle (Isaac), Sam (Madeline), Davis, Lucas, Julia and Lucia.
