He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold A. Mattson and Phyllis M. Mattson (Hill); and his sister Addy Hall. He is survived by: his former wife Linda Maki; his wife Peggy L. Brown; his stepchildren, Kandy, Paul and Ranee; his stepgrandchild Lindsay Mattson (Andy Avelsgard) of Iron; his son Matthew Mattson of Hibbing; his stepdaughter Tara Dall (Ryan); his grandsons, Austin and Bentley Avelsgard; his sister Leslie Tuskan (Mike Mattson); and his brother-in-law Jeff Hall. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas A. Mattson, 65, of Iron died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth from Covid-19.
