He was predeceased by: his parents, John Briski and Agnes Briski; his sisters, Helen and Jeanne; his daughter Deborah Mancina (Briski); his son-in-law Michael Mancina; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Briski Pierce.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Leppanen; his children, Michael (Jomi) of Cottage Grove, Dennis (Colleen) of Eveleth, Gary (Sue) of Eveleth, Nancy Pratt (Bill) of Eveleth, Douglas (Gail) of Iron and Tim (Michelle) of Vadnais Heights; and his brothers, George (Barbara) of Virginia, Jim of Gilbert and Bob (Shirley) of Zim. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
