He is survived by: his wife Florence; his children, David Gauthier (Tina), Cynthia Gauthier, Deborah Kane (William), Philip Gauthier (Susie), Paul Gauthier and Brenda Shanley; and his sister Terri Silverberg (Sy). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
