She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Petersen and Anna Petersen (Harms); her husband Floyd Hestermann; her siblings, Richard Petersen and Lois Buss; and her siblings-in-law, LaVerne Buss, Robert, Joan Hestermann, Marvin, Janice Hestermann, John Menard, Arlo, Delores Wittstock and Jan Rosekrans.
She is survived by: her children, John Hestermann (Karan) of Waverly and Anne DePalma (Anthony); her grandchildren, Benjamin Hestermann (Amy), Logan Hestermann (Karen) and Natalie DePalma; her stepgrandchildren, Katya Ranson-Edelsen, Kirsten Ranson-Pettway, Charles DePalma (Bonnie) and Al DePalma (Tiffani); and her siblings-in-law, Eldon Hestermann (Sharon), Charlotte Petersen, Alyce Weiss (Jim), Martha Menard and Barb MacKichan (John). She is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
