He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. Kanitz and Angeline McDonald (Kanitz); his siblings, Luella Mitchell, George and Edward; his grandson Tyler Seifert; and his daughter Paula Seifert (Kanitz).
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Kanitz (Griggs); his children, Pamela Rutten (JJ) and Leonard J. Kanitz; his grandchildren, Stephanie Seifert, Michael, Elizabeth and Tanner Rutten; and his brother Roger Kanitz.
Due to weather, covid and the holidays, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
