He was predeceased by: his wife Norma; his parents, Arnold Koenigs and Regina Koenigs; and his siblings, Bonita Streit and Marvin Koenigs.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie; his siblings, Mary Ann Klapperich and Bernie Koenigs (Judy); his sister-in-law Eileen Koenigs; and also, Aggie Theobald (Maynard), Geni Detviler and Geri Fisher (Roger). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Gilbert passed away peacefully April 10, 2018 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
