He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; his son-in-law Dan Chilefone; and his siblings, Ray Geffre and MaryAnn Pfliger. He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Karen), Linda Hoffmann (Dan), Sandy Chilefone, Debby Geffre Casillas, David (Rebekah), Adam "Chris" (Nikki) and Katrina Hemauer (Matt); and his sisters, Alma Grosz, Agnes Wald and Irene Zacher (Ray). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
