He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rupert Schmitz and Lucille Schmitz (Rosenthal); his significant other Wendy Westlund; his children, Jason (Jennifer) and Jami Ahart (Chris); his grandchildren, Cody, Kylie, Wyatt, Kadence and Talon; his siblings, Tom (Phyllis), Rich (Linda), Mike (Staci), Marilyn Troska (Greg), Geri Westly (Deno), Sue Schmelz (Mike), Paulette Klein, Christine King (Paul) and Patty Carrlson (Ron); his sister-in-law Carol Marasco (Rick); his father-in-law Melvin Westlund; his brothers-in-law, Lenny Westlund and Eugene Klein; and his mother-in-law Betty Westlund. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and friends.
