He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Marie Spooner (Eslinger); his wife Marvel Elaine Berryman; his great grandchild Phiffer Hunter; his daughter-in-law Wendy Gerlach Blais (Dean); and his siblings, Lowell Blais, Ronald Blais, Clifford Eslinger, Geraldine Martin and Jeanine Trompeter.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Blais (Diane) of International Falls, Dean Blais (Jackie) of Mesa, AZ., Dennis "Skip" Blais (Theresa) of Cloquet, MN, Nancy Hunter (Greg) of Frederick, CO and Jeanne Corrin (Bill) of International Falls; his grandchildren, Rusty Blais (Melinda), Jamie Thostenson (Chris), Holly Skime (Josh), Ben Blais (Angie), Sarah Otremba (Mike), Mary Fritz (Rick), Kristi Jorgenson (Jamie), Kelsey Blais, Blais Hunter (Bethany), Blair Hunter (Sean McGee), Brittany Klatt (Joe), Ladd Corrin (Lucy) and Willie Corrin (Emily); and his sister Diane Hassinger (Jerry). He is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Memorials would be preferred to the Salvation Army, Falls Education Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, or St. Jude Children's Hospital in Bill's memory.
