She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Knaffla and Olga Knaffla (Smith); her children, Noel Friend, Gene Friend, Jim Friend and Wanda Friend; and her siblings, Leslie Knaffla, Paul Knaffla, Marvin Knaffla, June VanHale, Grace Torkelson and Shirley Bowes.
She is survived by: her husband Benjamin A. Friend; her daughter Doris Porter; and her siblings, Orville Knaffla, Carol Morin and Marie Zaren. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
