He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Houska and Hazel; his stepmother Esther; and his siblings, Rodney, James and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Houska; his children, Thomas Houska (Lisa) of Andover, Minnesota, Wendy Crotty (Dean) of Bemidji and Susan Hewitt (Colin) of Int; his grandchildren, Chelsey Paulson (Ryan), Andy Crotty (Chelsey), Patrick Crotty (Erika), Kevin Karsnia (Katie), Jared Karsnia, Petrea Houska and Charlie Houska; and his great grandchildren, Rory, Brooks, Payton Paulson, Morrison Crotty, Ollie, Kellan Crotty, Adeline and Linnea Karsnia.
