He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. and Delvina; his siblings, George, Pauline, Marianne, Sylvia, Agnes and Margaret; and his son Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanine; and his children, James, Peter and Betty Opdahl. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
John endured many (23) years with Alzheimer's disease and Cancer.
