She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hillmann and Alvina Hillmann (Freyholtz); her former husband Wesley Bruns; her grandson McHale Bruns; her siblings, Ardine (Ramona), Orlando (Margie), Eugene Hillmann, Delpha Mellies (Virgil) and Geneva Franzeen (Don); and her stepson Mark McPheeters.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Bruns (Jill), Jennifer Schauland (Steven) and Mark Bruns (Lori); her stepchildren, Jeff McPheeters (Tammi) and Shawn McPheeters; her grandchildren, Adam Bruns (Janine), Jason Bruns (Sally), Kyle Bruns (Cassie), Tyler Bruns (Leigha), Dustin Grack (Kim), Dallas Grack (Camila), Danil Grack (Megan), Mitchel Bruns, Micah Bruns (Kate) and Megan Hoefs (Ryan); her stepgrandchildren, Kody Schwartz (Mollie), Hannah Schwartz, Jason McPheeters (Tanya), Jamey McPheeters (Kelly), Janea Mitchel (Jason), Jalina Smith (Ryan), Jenny Murphy (Mike) and Derek McPheeters (Melanie); and her sister-in-law Jean Hillmann. She is also survived by 17 Great-grandchildren (and one on the way) and 13 Step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Grace Lutheran School, Hutchinson, MN, or Gideons International, Sleepy Eye Camp.
