He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Prieve and Marie Prieve (Keehn); his wife Millicent "Millie" Prieve; his son David Prieve; and his siblings, Donald Prieve (Bea), Mary Hager (Larry), Carol Prieve, Fred Prieve (Janet) and Marge Rippe (Harold).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Johnson (Jeffery) of St. Cloud, MN, James Prieve (Sandra) of Hutchinson, MN and Thomas Prieve (Connie) of Darwin, MN; his grandchildren, Melissa Hammer, Michael Johnson, Daniel Prieve, Nicole Prieve (Tarah), Janaye Prieve (Hayden) and Tyler Prieve (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Carter Hammer, Olivia Hammer, Kalvin Prieve, Isla Prieve, Hattie Prieve, Forest Prieve and Expected Baby Prieve. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
