He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hansen and Dorothy June Degn (Nelson); his son Jeffrey Degn; his grandparents, Carl, Gjerta Degn (Ulbaek), Pete and Katherine Nelson (Christianson); his siblings-in-law, Warren Breezee, Brad Schwanke, Steven Tuman and Sandy Sandman; and his nephew Gerrod Breezee.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Degn (Paulsen) of Hutchinson, MN; his sons, Jeremy Degn (Rachel) of Hutchinson, MN and Jason Degn (Nikki) of Hutchinson, MN; his stepchildren, Justen Paulsen (Maria) of Hutchinson, MN and Makensie Paulsen of Litchfield, MN; his grandchildren, Collin Degn, Payton Degn, Tim Degn, Taylor Degn, Jeffrey Moe, Molly Hovda and Samantha Peters; his daughter-in-law Kate Kromarek (Ryan); his sister Nancy Butler (Bruce) of Plato, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Breezee (Gary Barnes) of Chaska, MN and William Sandman of Hutchinson, MN. He is also survived by Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (335 Main St S, Hutchinson, MN 55350). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
