He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Bemis and Viola Bemis (Thompson); his wife Patricia Bemis; his brother-in-law Arnold Thornton; and his son-in-law Jon Burks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lorie Bemis (John "Smoke" Fluhrer) of Buffalo Lake, MN, Wendy Theuringer (Mark) of Hutchinson, MN and Kristy LaPlante (Bill) of Darwin, MN; his grandchildren, Rochelle Merkins (Russell), Michael Burks, Dustin Theuringer, Robert Theuringer (Emily), Becky Magoon, Kaytlin Bemis and William LaPlante; his girlfriend Nancy Poffenbarger of Mesa, AZ; and his siblings, Glen Bemis (Barbara) of Buffalo Lake, MN and Serene Thornton of Roseville, MN. He is also survived by 24 Great-grandchildren, Many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church (335 Main St S, Hutchinson, MN 55350).
Memorials preferred and will be donated to Dollars for Scholars for the High School Shop Class.
