He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bockwitz and Elvera Bockwitz (Paulson); his stepmother Audrey Bockwitz; his former wife Judy Isakson; and his sisters, Jewell and Madrene.
He is survived by: his wife Kristi Laude; his children, Deanna Swendseid (Geoff) of Stephen, MN and Devyn Bockwitz (Meghan) of Cass Lake, MN; his grandchildren, Brandee Kuznia (Brad Rivard), Logan Swendseid (Erica Thomsen), Hunter Swendseid (Kat) and Kennedy Swendseid (Charlotte Hatch); his great grandchildren, Luke Kuznia, Ford Kuznia, Alexis Hruza and Gavin Hruza; and his siblings, Rodney Bockwitz, Virginia Bockwitz (Can) of Topeka, KS and Karen Danilaitis (Pete).
