He was predeceased by: his father Robert Thompson; his brother Harvey Thompson; and his nephew Josh Carroll. He is survived by: his mother Lena Thompson (Westby) of Nisswa; his wife Josephine Bianchini; his children, Holly Thompson of Hoyt Lakes, Kimberly Thompson (Ian Pontinen) of Eveleth and Robert Thompson of Hoyt Lakes; his grandchildren, Lydia, Hannah, Jacob and Zoey; and his sisters, Sharlene Overton of Reno, NV, Linda Jensen (Bryan) of Toivola and Karen Tulenchick (Mike) of Pequot Lakes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
