With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Koponen (Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota), born in Ironwood, Michigan, who passed away on December 23, 2018 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Koponen and Lila Koponen (Oja); his brothers, Robert and Ron; and his great great grandchild Kennedi Mae.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Johnson (Duane), Daniel Koponen (Robin), Darlene Petron (Bruce), Darrell Koponen (Angel) and Dennis Koponen (Judy); his former wife Jeanne Koponen; and his siblings, Brian Koponen (Mickie) and Kathy Grbavcich (Paul). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
