He is survived by: his children, Lois Dunne (Robert) of Pennock, MN, Caryl Kaler (Dan) of Burnsville, Bruce Birk (Sandra) of Idaho Falls, Brian Birk (Kathie) of Tower and Kathryn Feroe (Bruce) of Hoyt Lakes; his grandchildren, Sara George (Andrew), Matthew Kaler, Lisa Birk (Lee Sherwin), Phillip Birk (Megan), Rebecca Nissila (Jeremy), Carly Malo (Ross), Heidi Feroe (Matt Comnick) and Erica Birk; his great grandchildren, Frederick George, Logan Nissila, Olive Fox and Norah Comnick; and his siblings, Keith Birk, Effie Randall and Martha Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
