He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schmieg and Orella Schmieg of Howard Lake, MN.; his sister-in-law Judy Schmieg; his nephew Ricky Schmieg; his niece Connie Baumann; and his great-niece McKenzie Compton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gary (Ruth) of Cokato, Dale (Evelyn) of Howard Lake, Carolyn Compton (Dane) of Garfield, MN, Merlyn (Karen) of Howard Lake, Mark (Barb) of Howard Lake and Bev Allen (David) of Howard Lake. He is also survived by 8 nieces, 8 nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
