He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Dybing and Addie Dybing (Gydal); his wife Cynthia; his siblings, Ralph and Lois; and his grandson-in-law Stephan Cantrell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maxine Dybing of Houston, Debra Gaustad (Larry) of Houston and Lisa Graf (Cecil) of Hokah; his grandchildren, Randi Rhode Barnett (Josh) of Erwin, TN, Samantha Rhode Cantrell of Johnson City, TN, Adam Gaustad of Caledonia, Metta Kuehntopp (Marc) of Goodview, Jessica Baylor (Jeff) of Batavia, IL and Melissa Graf of Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Kynlee Johnson, Brylee Johnson, Joseph Cantrell, Eli Cantrell, Mara Kuehntopp and Benjamin Kuehntopp; his sister Mary Botcher of Houston; and his cousin Amy Shield of Houston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
