She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Lee and Olga Lee (Thompson); her sisters, Odella Boyum (Truman) and Luella Anderson (Herman); and her brother-in-law Wallace Markegard.

She is survived by: her husband Arless; her sons, Michael Markegard (Ann) of Houston and Raymond Markegard (Kathy) of Chandler; her grandchildren, Jennifer Krings (Marcus) of Houston, Adam Markegard (Paige) of Houston, Nicholas Markegard of Chandler and Kimberly Markegard of Chandler; her great grandchildren, Mason and Owen Krings of Houston; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Markegard of Peterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials directed to the donor's choice.
