He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin A. Schaeffer and Ida Orlick (Sam). He is survived by: his wife Myrnalee; and his children, David Schaeffer (Thea), Amy Schaeffer, Michelle Hockersmith (Alan), Mitchell Bloom (Michelle), Mark Bloom (Michele) and Matthew Bloom (Julie). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Daryle Silver Aleph School Fund at Beth El Syn. or the Ronald McDonald House.
