It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Richard Joarnt of Hopkins, Minnesota, born in Long Prairie, Minnesota, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Joarnt and Rose Joarnt (Steinert); his former wife Angie Joarnt; his grandson Nathan Joarnt; and his siblings, Raymond Joarnt, Irene Lobitz, Lawrence Joarnt and Roland Joarnt.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Joarnt of Hopkins; his children, David Joarnt of St. Bonifacius, Diane Joarnt of Mounds View, Daniel Joarnt of Hopkins, Theresa Proffitt (Paul) of Hugo, Mark Joarnt (Mary) of St. Louis Park and Nancy Trautman (Brent) of Delano; and his siblings, June Holt of Long Prairie, Carol Struss of Sartell and Romaine Joarnt of Sauk Centre. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glen Haven Chapel (5125 W Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55429). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (5125 W Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55429).
