He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Schirmers; his siblings, Gerald and Diane Lehn; his parents, Leo Schirmers and Mary Schirmers; and his son-in-law Richard Cotton.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Gregoire (Rony), Todd, Brad (Angie) and Sheryl Cotton; his grandchildren, Donovan (Jessica), Sherlie, Christophe, Matthew (Brittany), Julia (Joshua), Blake, Robert (Emina) and Douglas (Abigale); his great grandchildren, Aaden, Amira, Ripley, Lily and Leo; and his sister-in-law Roberta Harrington.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hopkins Chapel (1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
