It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johannes Groeneweg (Hollandale, Minnesota), who passed away on February 13, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arie Groeneweg and Pietje Groeneweg; his wife Dorothy; his great grandchild Robin; his siblings, Pete Groeneweg and Lena Goemaat of Esther Morrison; and also, Warren Morrison, Bertha Groeneweg, James "Bud" Wynia, Hank Brouwers and Elsie VanderStoep.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Vanderploeg (Duane), Tom Groeneweg (Kathie), Gail Eekhoff (Kevin), Ed Groeneweg (Julie) and Marty Groeneweg (Peggy); his grandchildren, Kurt Vanderploeg (Rebecca), Jan Bernau (Andy), Lonna Huerter (Tyler), Jessica Groeneweg, John Groeneweg (Heather), Sara Groeneweg, Shawn Groeneweg (Alisha), Matt Eekhoff (Casey), Mark Eekhoff (Shanti), Melinda Cameron (Jackie), Megan Cameron (Chris), Jackie Groeneweg, Nathan Smith, Jill Groeneweg and Doni Groeneweg; his great grandchildren, Alicia, Addison, Landon, Fiona, Connor, Sophia, Ridley, Blaine, Lily, Andilynn, Carsen, Alex, Dirk, Freya, Cleo, Cordelia and Rosalind; his sister Nellie Wynia; and also, Laura Brouwers, Margie Rogstad, Art Goemaat and John VanderStoep. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
