She is survived by: her husband John "Sonny" Van Wilgen; her children, Jody Van Wilgen, Julie Hill (Craig), Jon Van Wilgen (Peggy), Jacquie Mauseth (Jeremy) and Jason Van Wilgen (Tammy); and her siblings, Sandy Van Wilgen, Jim Van Riper, Bob Van Riper (Terry Mangskau Olson), Cheryl McManaman (Raymond), Becky Phagan (Charlie), Alan Van Riper, Kenny Van Riper (Marly) and Cynthia Van Riper. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
