James Loverink Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Loverink of Hollandale, Minnesota, who passed away on September 13, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeppe "Jack" and Marie Loverink (Van Wilgen); his granddaughter Cassandra Leigh Loverink; his son-in-law Randy Birchman; his brothers, Dick and Tennis; and his siblings-in-law, Gus Jacobsen, Walt Vande Kamp (Marie), Ada Mennega (Hip), Lory Harmsen (Neil), Nel Pauzinga (Chuck), Doug Vandgrift, Suzie Wallin (Merlin), Walter Karsjens, Jim Vande Kamp (Charlotte), Sarah Ekema (John) and Gary Vande Kamp.
He is survived by: his former wife Genevieve Vande Kamp; his wife Genevieve "Vivie"; his children, Lee (Jodi), Jayne DeJong, Joyce VanGorp (Bryan), Mike (Liz), Kae Birchard Loverink, Sue Buchner (Mike) and Lance (Dawn); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Trevor, Leah (Jordan), Bradley (Stephanie), Melanie (Christopher), Ryan, Trent, Rachel (Bailey), Jacob (Alie), John (Christine), Lynsey and Easton; his great grandchildren, Evelynn, Eleanor, Haddon, Knox, Ryle James, Parker and Vivie; his stepgrandchildren, Jen, Ashley (Jacob), Michael and Roxy; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Hadley, Brentley, Tennley, Quinnley, Loxley, Isley, Gavin, Case, Colt and Isaiah; his sisters, Doreen Richards (Dennis) and Lori Jacobsen; his sisters-in-law, Joanie, Tracy Vandgrift, Eva Karsjens and Ardie Vande Kamp; and his friend John Erwert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hollandale Reformed Church, Hollandale Cemetery Association, Hollandale Christian School or Youth for Christ - The Rock.
