He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Nelson and Helen Nelson (Hermanson); and his brother Gary Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Nelson; his children, Kelsey Longendyke (Matthew), Kasandra Nelson, Winona and Kody Nelson of South Bend, IN.; his grandson Bjorn Longendyke; and his siblings, Linda Aaberg (Dale), Victoria, Kathy Belka, Fergus Falls, Mary Spolarich (Roger), David Nelson (Barbara) and Ronald Nelson.
