He is survived by: his wife Martha of Hoffman; his children, Terri Howe of Hoffman and Dan Karlstad (Judy) of Sebastopol, California; his grandchildren, Timothy, Rachel, Shannen, Deanna and Andrew; and his siblings, Marian Pederson of Fargo, Judy Erickson of Kensington and David Karlstad of Duluth. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
