It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis May Brooks of Hines, Minnesota, born in Bemidji, Minnesota, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kruger and Marguerite Kruger (Cronk); her parents-in-law, Bennie and Dorthy Brooks (Quimby); her brothers, Fred, Russell and Ken Kruger; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Brooks, Gene Leeper and Judy Brooks.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Brooks of Hines, MN; her children, Robert Brooks (Deb) of Minneapolis, MN and Brigitte Zylka (Mike) of Laporte, MN; her grandchildren, Ben Boldt (Teresa) of Alabama, Jodi Fichter (CJ) of Badger, MN, Carla Dobmeier (Ryan) of Laporte, MN and Brooke Grundmeier (Tyler) of Bemidji, MN; her great grandchildren, Breydan, Bridger Fichter, Ava, Zoey Dobmeier and Sophia Boldt; her siblings, Wayne Kruger (Ardis) of Tenstrike, Bev Leeper of Bemidji and Bonnie Grundmeier (Dan) of Blackduck; her sister-in-law Vickie Kruger of Blackduck; and her aunt Edwina Batchelder of Bemidji.
