He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Klapel and Vernice Klapel (Melberg); his wife Peggy Klapel; his brother Kevin Klapel; and his pet Zorro (Zee).
He is survived by: his children, Susan of Mora, MN and Dann of Hinckley; his grandchildren, Chris of Fargo, ND, Aquene, River and Oswyn; his sister Narvilla Rabe (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Peter (Dawn), Edward Dunkley (Beth), Emiline and Sally Dunkley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (301 Lawler Ave S, Hinckley, MN 55037).
