He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thurner and Blanche Thurner (Larson); his wife Hilma "Sami" Kranick; his son Jamie; and his siblings, Barb, Nancy, Frank, Kenneth and Greger.
He is survived by: his daughter Tara; and his sister Lynne. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
