He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his parents, Elmer Jackson Sr. and Leona Roy; and his brother Melvin. He is survived by: his children, Kimberley Mattson of Minneapolis, DaVonna LaPlante of Blaine, Gary Mattson of Moose Lake and Jennifer Mattson of Rush City; his grandchildren, Derak "Iggy" Jr. (Becca), Devin, Amber, Ashley and Zachery; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jeremy, Easton and Eliana; and his sister Betty Price of St. Paul. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
