He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schmidt and Rosemary Schmidt; his wife Arlene Jo Schmidt; and his sister Joy Krogstad (Schmidt). He is survived by: his siblings, Bruce Schmidt (Roxy) and Jane Schmidt (Kevin Norby); his children, Brad Schmidt Jr. (Deidra), Jolene Carlson (Jesse), Jenn Olson (Mike) and Brandon Schmidt; and his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jace, Hunter, Alana, Zoey, Liam, Kamryn and Riley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
