He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Scheerhorn and Charlotte Scheerhorn; his wife Carol Scheerhorn; his siblings, Daryl Scheerhoorn and Joyce Gilliland; and his grandson Chris Nath.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Berkland, Randy Scheerhorn (Judy), Lori Enger (Jeff), Doug Scheerhorn (Sheri) and Patti Vugteveen (Steve). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
