He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gross, Sr. and Anna Gross; his wife JoAnn Gross; his sister Lorraine Eide; and his brother-in-law Leo Perleberg.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Gross (Cynthia) of Hillman, Lisa Johnson (Mark) of Hillman, Tim Gross (Tanja) of Princeton, Tony Gross (Lisa) of Princeton and Loretta Oberfeld (Rich) of Hillman; his grandchildren, Ben Johnson, Joe Strauch (Brittany), Jacob Gross, Jared Strauch, Hannah Gross, Mitchell Gross, AJ Gross, Kate Gross, Ian Oberfeld and Noah Oberfeld; and his siblings, MaryAnn Perleberg and Leander Gross (Marlys).
