She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Sampson and Irene Sampson (Kivela); her brother Rudolph Sampson, Jr.; her son David Cheney; and her grandson Forest Cheney.
She is survived by: her husband Ernie C. Aikey, Sr.; her children, Karen Wright (Mike) of Hibbing, Kathy Cheney of Cook, MN, Russell Cheney (Lisa) and Carolina; and her stepchildren, Ernie Aikey, Jr. (Tiara) of Hibbing, Pat Aikey of Hibbing, Lisa Barus (Dan) of Hibbing, Scott, James Aikey of Keewatin, Caroline Aikey of Keewatin, Anthony Aikey (Sam) of Hibbing and Elizabeth Aikey (Jake) of Hibbing. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
