It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Alan Maki of Hibbing, Minnesota, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaino Maki and Stella Maki (Nopala); his siblings, Clarence, Gerry Haupt and Dorothy; and his brother-in-law Gene Tomassini.
He is survived by: his wife Josette "Jo" Baratto; his children, Stacy O'Brien (Andy) of Waukesha, WI and Shane Maki (Sara) of Hibbing, MN; his grandsons, Nathan, Matthew and Jacob Maki; and his brother-in-law Jim Haupt of Hibbing. He is also survived by granddogs and numerous extended family members and friends.
