Albert Whitlock Obituary
Albert George Whitlock, 84, of Hibbing-loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away January 11, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Range Funeral Home in Hibbing with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Pastor Brian Birk will officiate.
Military Honors accorded by V.F.W. Post 8510. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing. Albert was born November 8, 1929 to Harry and Mary (Gray) Whitlock in Fergus Falls, MN. Al served in the Korean War for the Marine Corps. Al retired from Eveleth Taconite where he worked as a welder. He was active in the American Legion and the VFW.
Al enjoyed his retirement, filling his days with enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren, cutting wood for the winter, riding his bike and going to McDonalds to have coffee with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois (Green); daughter, Judy (Jerry) Clark of Hibbing; son, David Whitlock of Hibbing; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Donald of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mary and Avis.
