He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Rasche and Lola Rasche (Pratt); his siblings, Irene Clifton and Robert Rasche; his brothers-in-law, Cliff Clifton and Clarence Madsen; and his close friend Pat Hedquist.

He is survived by: his former wife Rita Rostomily; his children, Vicki Hussong (Rich), Wayne Rasche (Carmen), Tamara Shelton (Stan Bayerkohler), Terri McClure (Scott), Marc Rasche (Kelly), Jackson, Janeen Baumgard (Curt), Cindy DeWall (Mark) and Heath Rasche (Jessie) of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, April Hussong, Carrie Hanson (Chuck), Stacy Hussong, Martha Doll (Ben), Andrew Rasche (Annie), Amber Rasche (Luke Prather), Adrienna Rasche (Ted Esker), Shaun Lesch, Summer Stearns (Jesse), Stephen Lesch, Lee McClure (Melissa), Mollie McClure (Jay Kopel), Ryan Rasche (Allison), Marita Johnson (Spencer), Dane Baumgard, Bria Baumgard, Kirsten Selland (Corey), Brooke Baumgard (Cole), Connor Erickson (Chris) and Caden Rasche; and his sister Marie Madsen. He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
