He is survived by: his parents, Kelly Peterson and Dan Peterson; his sisters, Rachel Peterson (RobBob Hogan) and Molly Robertson (Mike); his nieces, Aubrey and Macy; his nephew Graham; his grandparent Papa Peterson (Grandma Peterson); and his friend Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Sam to Oligo Nation, the only organization doing research on the kind of cancer Sam had.
