He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingwald Herstad (Inke) and Elsie Herstad; and his cousin Ronnie Nelsen. He is survived by: his pet Stuart Mace; his former spouses, Elcey M. Swanstrom and Phyllis A. Anderson; his children, Heidi Herstad, Holly Herstad, Amy Einbu (Jim) and Timothy Herstad (Suzanne); his stepson Morgan Anderson; his grandchildren, Aunna Herstad, Russell Rogers Jr., Sara Anderson, Katelyn Rogers, Hunter Herstad, Dylan Einbu, Sophie Einbu, Alex Herstad and Jaden Herstad; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Herstad and Koltin Solem. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
