He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Dallas Crandall Sr. and Grace Crandall (Itzen); his wife Kathy Crandall; his sisters, Jeanette Eversole and Marlys Schoenrock; and his granddaughter Peyton Bowman.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Dejong, Randy Crandall, Gary Crandall (Heather), Pam Bowman, Kevin Crandall and Bryan Crandall (Courtney); his grandchildren, Brett, Amber DeJong (Tyler), Shantelle, Samantha, Summer Crandall, Cheyenne, Montanna, Skylar, Kaci, Wyatt Crandall, Kallie, Addison Bowman, MaKenzi Persons and Beau Crandall; his great grandchild Jordan; his sister Sharon Stavrovich; and also, Wayne, Cathy Hervey and Celeste Sherk. He is also survived by grandkids, from watching his granddaughters cook alongside his wife.
Sonny was still hauling grain up until COVID-19 forced him into quarantine.
