She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Martin and Aurelia Jans (Sullivan); her husband James Burgess; her daughter Mary Young; her siblings, Patricia Riese and Michael Jans; and her grandchildren, Nicolas Burger and Jaemon Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, David Burgess (Kandra), Sherrie LaJocies, Daniel Burgess (Laurie), Patrick Burgess (Cheryl), Mark Burgess (Claudia), Nancy Gain, Peggy Burger (Justin), Kevin Burgess (Marcella), Chris Burgess and Jenny Cameron (Richard); her son-in-law Mark Young; and her sister Sheila Jans. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
