He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Joseph Johnson III, Kathleen Brown, Lauri Johnson, Melissa Perry, Rebecca Johnson, Mikael Johnson, Myshell Johnson and Charles F. Johnson; and his siblings, Betty Ann Malm, Fredrick Johnson and Charles Johnson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
