She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Koopman and Jeannettie Koopman; and her siblings, Joel, Harvey (Muriel), Gary, Jondale, Robert and Ruby.

She is survived by: her husband Richard of Hendricks; her children, Jeanne Lacy, Dwayne (Jennifer), Jan (Steve), Dale (Jennifer) and David; her granddaughters, Rasheeda Mitchem (Elliott), Milliecia Lacy (Nahom), Hailey Thompson (Trevor), Kylie, Tegan, Abbie and Ashlee Hoff; and her great grandchild Mira Mitchem.
