With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophie C. Gawerecki (Hendricks, Minnesota), who passed away on December 20, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lacek and Dorothy Lacek (Sik); her husband Harry Gawerecki; her daughter Dorothy; and her sisters, Margaret Bednarek, Gertrude Bednarek and Patricia Kubiszewski.
She is survived by: her children, James Gawerecki (Lois) of Lake Benton, MN, Clarence Gawerecki, Raymond Gawerecki, Mary Regnier (Allen), Thomas Gawerecki (Dawn) and Hattie VanDerostyne (James); her son-in-law Philip Leuning (Karen) of Arco, MN; and her brother James Lacek (Janice) of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
